DESCRIPTION

ShrimpFit is a special feed and immune booster for rapid activation of the immune system in ornamental shrimp. ShrimpFit from GlasGarten improves the immune system and provides shrimp in freshwater aquariums with nutritionally important active ingredients such as beta-glucans, mannan-oligosaccharides, minerals and chitin.

Shrimp only have an innate, so-called primitive immune system. This means that it cannot “learn” over time and has to defend itself again and again against the same “attackers”. So if an infection with a certain opponent has survived, he can attack again, the immune system of the shrimp does not recognize him and the fight starts all over again.

However, the most common cases of bacterial infections in shrimp in the aquarium are caused by non-pathogenic bacteria, i.e. they are not pathogenic bacteria, but normal bacteria that live in every aquarium and every living being. Unfortunately, these can also quickly lead to a problem, namely when the immune system is weakened and/or does not become active quickly. A sleepy “Sentry” or a sluggish “Battle Party” can be decisive for a fight.
If, for example, you put new shrimps/snails/fish in an aquarium that already has shrimps in it, it is often not the case that “diseases” are transmitted, but simply normal strains of bacteria that may not be known to the shrimps already living in the aquarium. The new bacteria can quickly settle in the shrimp, multiply rapidly and, if the immune system is not fit and fast enough, unfortunately often lead to death…
In short, without an immune system, a shrimp is just a piece of meat waiting to be broken down by bacteria. The immune system alone prevents this, which is why it is so important to strengthen the shrimp’s immune system so that it can defend itself optimally and keep the shrimp healthy. That alone is his job to be faster and stronger than opponents can spread. GlasGarten ShrimpFit supports it in this task, the ingredients act as immune boosters in different ways.

Betaglucans

Beta-1,3-1,6-glucans are structures that are recognized as quasi-pathogens by the immune system. Without being a pathogen, they trigger immune activation but do not produce disease symptoms. The immune system is thus made fit.
Beta-glucans are recognized and immediately absorbed by scavenger cells (macrophages) via special receptors. As a result, the scavenger cells activate the formation of further cells for the immune system, which then effectively protect the body from new pathogens in the blood and lymphatic system and can reduce the reaction time for a defense.
As soluble fiber in the yeast hydrolyzate used, the beta-glucans are fermented by the intestinal flora into short-chain fatty acids such as acetate, butyrate and propionate. Short-chain fatty acids are important regulators for a healthy metabolism, butyrate is the most important source of energy for the intestinal mucosa cells and has an anti-inflammatory effect.

Mannan-Oligosaccharides

Due to their prebiotic effect, mannan-oligosaccharides promote the probiotic bacteria in the animals and a positive composition of the intestinal flora.

Minerals and chitin

The contained minerals and the chitin support the construction of the exoskeleton and counteract molting problems. Every molt is a great effort for the shrimp organism and especially during this time, when all forces are concentrated on molting, the shrimp is weakened and easily attacked. Unnecessarily long molting phases put the shrimp under additional stress, which lowers the immune system, which is why it is so important that the molting process runs smoothly and quickly.

First Aid

First aid (immediate aid) may prevent major damage, since the immune systems of the uninfected or already infested shrimp are activated faster and more strongly. at the same time, toxins are bound by GlasGarten ShrimpFit and removed from the intestine.

Preventive and regular feeding

Used preventively and fed regularly, ShrimpFit forms a protective film in the intestinal mucosa and increases the alertness of the immune system so that the invaders can be fought faster and more effectively if a strong immune defense is required.

• with normal stocking density: 1/2 measuring spoon each twice a week*
• with high stocking density: 1 heaped measuring spoon twice a week*

We recommend not giving any other food to GlasGarten ShrimpFit a few hours before and after feeding it, in order to make optimal use of the effect of beta-glucan.

An overdose or more frequent feeding is not recommended, since the effect of the ingredients in ShrimpFit lasts for several days.
